Bonnie J. Cardone is the author of two nonfiction books, Shipwrecks of Southern California and Fireside Diver. In 2001, she was the principal photographer for Diving & Snorkeling Southern California & the Channel Islands. A Skin Diver Magazine editor/writer/photographer for 22 years, she now works as a freelance photojournalist. She was the editor of Sisters in Crime's national newsletter from 2000 to 2009 and had an article on Nevada Barr published in Mystery Scene Magazine.
In 1999, Bonnie was named Woman Diver of the Year and also received the California Scuba Service Award from Saint Brendan Corp. In 2000, she was among the initial inductees of the Women Divers Hall of Fame; in 2002 she was inducted into the California Wreck Divers Hall of Fame; and in 2009 she was awarded a NOGI for The Arts from the Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences.
Bonnie has written four mystery novels featuring a female scuba diving photographer and, like nearly everyone else who lives in SoCal, NorCal or CenCal, is looking for an agent.
