Here's hoping we can join in some walks on the darker side of the street. Short fiction with echoes of Goodis, Thompson, Woolrich - those are whose footsteps I hear.

Born in Hoboken; raised and live in Weehawken, NJ, where the Lincoln Tunnel has guaranteed me lifelong respiratory distress. BA from St. Peter's College, Jersey City, and was inspired to become an ornery fallen Catholic. Worked briefly on the docks in the old Jersey City, for many years at a music concern in Hell's Kitchen, NYC, and now as a local public library assistant. Long experience in 4-set-a-night rock cover bands and original bands as singer, player, writer. First published fiction was on first ever submission, and appeared in the Black Mask section of EQMM as the short story "That Kind of Guy" in the January '09 issue. If I have any money at all I'm plotting an eating foray or a run to the Jersey Shore, me being one of America's rare body surfing gastronomes, although trough drainer is a term that's been tossed around as well. Pizza -- thin crust; Chinese (or whatever) food -- never chile-hot enough; hot dogs -- yes. But that red meat'll kill ya. And I have two baking Blue Ribbons -- Colts Neck NJ Country Fair, Great American Apple Pie division.
 
I'm also an active member of International Thriller Writers.

"Corner of River and Rain", a sequel-of-sorts to the EQMM Black Mask story, first appeared online during May 2010 in Short-Story.Me! Genre Fiction.  As of Nov. 2010 it is anthologized in Short-Story.Me! - Best Genre Short Stories #2 in a Kindle Edition and in print.
 
"That Kind of Guy" was anthologized in print in "Pulp Empire, Volume II" from Metahuman Press, and online at Pulp Empire, in July 2010.
