Carol Kilgore has written many short stories. Her work is published in online and print magazines and included in a few anthologies. The most recent is "Bunuelos for the Beach" in MAP OF MURDER published by Red Coyote Press in 2007. One of her stories, "Just a Man on the Sidewalk," was awarded a Derringer for the Best Short-Short Mystery of 1999. For the past few years, she's concentrated mostly on novels.

Carol is a native Texan who's lived up and down the East Coast, from New York City to Miami, as the wife of a Coast Guard officer. She and her Coastie currently live in the Corpus Christi area with a whiz-kid border collie named Wrangler who works hard to keep them in line and on time for dinner feeding.
